Over 30 years ago, Macarthur Combined Churches (MCC), was organized to provide a free Christmas lunch for the less fortunate in the Campbelltown area in New South Wales. Since then, the group has joined together with the Mayor and non-profits on many projects to support the community.
Macarthur Stake, New South Wales, Interfaith meetings to plan community service

Morgan Jones, president of the stake (a group of congregations), was delighted to welcome everyone. “We want to reach out to other Christian groups and to help the progress of the Lord’s work,” he said.
Campbelltown Mayor, George Brticevic, expressed how wonderful it is for multi-faith groups to meet in such a positive way.
Paul Mackin, founder of We Are Community, shared his gratitude for the group. Churches support the work of We Are Community, which provides hot meals, and services such as haircuts and a weekend laundry truck to those experiencing homelessness.
The current serving president of the MCC, Yves Le Pironnec, said that the faith representatives at the meeting were brought together by God, stating, “United we can do so much more for our community.”
The MCC asked if their quarterly meetings could be held at the stake centre going forward and President Jones readily agreed to their request.
