New General Authority Seventy Called from the Pacific Area

Among 8 new General Authority Seventies announced worldwide

Elder Vaiangina Sikahema was one of eight General Authority Seventies sustained in the April 2021 General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

President Dallin H. Oaks of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the calls during the Saturday afternoon session of the conference.

Born in Tonga, Elder Sikahema, has served as an area authority, president of the Cherry Hill New Jersey Stake; former bishop, bishopric counselor, mission presidency counselor, and stake presidency counselor. He is married to Keala and they have four children.

Elder Sikahema was a professional American football player for the Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles. He was a sports and news anchor for NBC10 Philadelphia until his retirement in 2020. He studied broadcasting and communications at BYU.
