Latter-day Saint Students Get Hands-On Work Experience in Kiribati

Students from Moroni High School in the island nation of Kiribati are taking part in a variety of work experiences this term.

Moroni High School is owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Students are gaining valuable experience at a number of local employers including Air Kiribati, Taiwan Technical Mission, Chinese Bakery Shop, Nanotasi Garment Industry and Triple T Enterprise.

The young people are supported by the school’s leaders in its Technical Vocational Education and Training program.

According to Vice-Principal Banririe Benati Nenebwati, “This is just a beginning, but demonstrates that the standards associated with the program sometimes stretch us to do better things with students.”

“Students are now asking for more opportunities.”
