250-strong Latter-day Saint Choir Sings for Samoa's 60th Independence Celebration

A 250-member choir from the Apia Samoa West Stake represented The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the opening of the Samoa 60th Independence Celebration's Church Choir Exhibition on 6 September 2022.

The event was held at the Youth Hall of the Ekalesia Faapotopotoga Kerisano Samoa (Congregational Christian Church in Samoa) in Sogi.

The choir, made up of children, youth and adults and the elderly, sang ‘I’m a Miracle, Lord’ and ‘Weary Not’ in support of the 60th Celebration theme, “Sail with Faith”.

Choir member, Palauni-Frank Emanuel Su'a said, “When we were singing the song ‘Weary Not,’ I felt emotional knowing that even though we are in difficult times, there awaits a brighter day for us all.”

Also participating, were choirs from Catholic, Methodist, Congregationalist, and Nazarene churches.
