Young Latter-day Saints Lend a Hand at Auckland Salvation Army Family Store

A group of young members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gave up their Saturday morning last weekend to help out a the Salvation Army’s Glenfield, Auckland Family Store.

The young volunteers unpacked and sorted donations alongside Salvation Army staff.

One participant, Matthew Krull, said, “Being able to assist an organization that already does so much for the community is a pleasure, and personally, I feel that I am upholding the good in society.”

Latter-day Saint young adult adviser, Matthew Owen, said, “We love to get involved in our communities through service because this is what Jesus Christ taught and showed throughout His ministry.”
