Young Australians, New Zealanders and Pacific Islanders Prepare for Worldwide Devotional

Young adults worldwide are anticipating joining Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Sister Melanie Rasband on 13 September for a live Face to Face broadcast. Gabbi and Isaiah Kuru of Brisbane, Australia share their preparations for the event:

Elder and Sister Rasband will be discussing how the Church the Saviour established in the Holy Land has been restored to the earth today, and how young adults can better understand and live the principles in the new proclamation, “The Restoration of the Fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ: A Bicentennial Proclamation to the World.”

“We hope young adults will watch this event with questions in their hearts,” said Elder Rasband. “Joseph [Smith] had a question in his heart, and he received a world-changing answer from within the Sacred Grove when he studied, acted, and prayed in faith. As young adults seek and knock, they will receive answers as well. The Spirit can help answer what Sister Rasband and I cannot.”

Young adults are invited to submit questions on Face2Face.ChurchofJesusChrist.org. They are encouraged to invite their friends to join the broadcast. They can respond using #sacredgrove, about how the restored gospel helps them overcome the challenges of today’s world.

Watch the broadcast on Sunday, September 13, at 6 p.m. (mountain daylight time) on the Church satellite system, ChurchofJesusChrist.org, YouTube, Facebook, BYUtv, and other media. It will be transmitted in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, ASL, Tongan, Samoan, Cebuano, and Tagalog.

Those who cannot join the live event may view or download a recording of the devotional on Face2Face.ChurchofJesusChrist.org and YouTube anytime after the event begins.
