Auckland ‘Community Family History Fair’ to Connect Generations

Helping people with their family trees

Aucklanders interested in learning more about their family history will have the chance to get free, hands-on advice at a Community Family History Fair in Mairangi Bay on Saturday 30 March.

Volunteer family history consultants with years of experience will be there to talk with attendees between 12 and 4pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ building at 313 Sunset Road Mairangi Bay in Auckland.

In preparation for the event, volunteers have been offering assistance to some high profile people from our community.

Director of public affairs for the Church on the North Shore, Mark Stinson, said, “This free family event is aimed at helping people to understand the tools and techniques for researching their genealogy or whakapapa. For more information you can email familyhistorycommunity@gmail.com.”
