In a TED X talk released this week, Hamilton researcher, Mahonri Owen, explains his work to develop a brain-controlled prosthetic hand.
Owen is married to Ruby-Leigh and together they have two children, Alma and Iris.
As a younger man he served for two years as a Mormon missionary in Africa.
In addition to his research work and family commitments, Owen is a volunteer leader in his local Latter-day Saint congregation.
