Vanuatu Conference Helps Youth 'Trust In The Lord'

The Port Vila Vanuatu Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held its annual conference for youth from 19-21 August 2022. Over 200 young people, aged 11 to 17, participated in the three-day event.

The conference was focused on the 2022 global youth theme for the Church, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths," from Proverbs 3:5-6 in the Holy Bible.

To kick-off the event, teens enjoyed a social activity that included dancing. The next day they participated in workshops that helped them to become competent in researching Family History, preparing for missionary service, and understanding the need for Seminary and Institute (religion classes) as part of their overall education.

On day three, youth attended a Sunday worship service and some offered their testimonies about the gospel of Jesus Christ and its importance in their lives. Many spoke about how trusting in the Lord is improving their lives.

The youth conference concluded with a devotional and a lively panel discussion.
