New Zealand Latter-day Saints Contribute to Pacific COVID-19 Vaccination Success

Church partners with Wellington health professionals to protect more than 400 people from the COVID-19 virus

Another successful COVID-19 vaccination ‘Festival Day’ was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Porirua on Saturday, 15 January 2021.  More than 400 people received immunisations.

The Church worked collaboratively with the Capital and Coast District Health Board, the Hutt Valley District Health Board, Ora Toa Primary Health Organisation, and the Ministry for Pacific Peoples.

Latter-day Saints contributed to the festival atmosphere, providing music, refreshments and ensuring people had health kits and traditional Samoan chop suey and rice meals to take home.
