New Zealand Latter-day Saint Educator Passes Away

Herewini Jones was a lay church leader in his beloved Ōpōtiki congregation

Herewini Jones, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Ōpōtiki, New Zealand, passed away on June 9, 2021.

Mr Jones was a lay church leader for many years in his beloved Ōpōtiki congregation, in the Bay of Plenty.

He was also a sought after educator and keynote presenter across the country and overseas.

An expert in Māori history, culture and language, Mr Jones was gifted at bringing people together to strengthen faith in Jesus Christ, family relationships and communities.
