'Music and the Spoken Word' Episodes to Air on New Zealand's Kordia TV

Heritage themed specials by The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square will be broadcast in March

Six "Music and the Spoken Word" episodes with heritage themes will air on Kordia TV (New Zealand) over the month of March. The programs feature singers and musicians from the world famous Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, and guest artists.

For more than nine decades, nearly the lifetime of radio, The Tabernacle Choir has presented a weekly program — Music & the Spoken Word— without interruption, giving voice to peace, hope, inspiration and the goodness of God. No other broadcast can claim such a heritage.

The Tabernacle Choir is dedicated to the universal language of music that has the power to bring joy, peace, and healing to its listeners. Made up of hundreds of volunteers from all walks of life, this unique music organization transcends cultural and generational boundaries and brings together people from around the world through stirring music. The Choir, the Orchestra at Temple Square, and the Bells on Temple Square act as goodwill ambassadors for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

Prime Television (New Zealand) has aired Music and the Spoken for many years.

Kordia TV, also in New Zealand, will air the following specials over the month of March, following Black History Month in the United States in February, and as we look forward to Easter.
