This Thursday to Saturday (27-29 September) members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Upolu West Stake will host neighbours, relatives and community leaders at a number of events in their brand new stake centre.

On Thursday there will be a press conference followed by a public open house and a cultural celebration.

A variety show will take place on Friday 28 September.

The new building will be dedicated on Saturday the 29th.

On Sunday, members and visitors will worship in the newly dedicated meetinghouse.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was first established in the Mulifanua area in 1953.

The first branches were Mulifanua and Samatau. From Mulifanua Branch, Lalovi (1995) and Muilfanua 2nd (2013) were organised; and Satuimalufilufi (2016) was established from Lalovi.

Manono (1976) and Falelatai (1987) wards were established from Samatau.

Today there are six wards and one branch (Satuimalufilufi) in the Upolu West Stake.

The former stake centre was located in Manono.

A Latter-day Saint stake is a group of congregations, called wards and branches.
