Good Works in South Auckland

Young men and women from south Auckland congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently donated their time and skills to clean up the vegetation areas surrounding the Clendon Shopping Centre.

It's a popular spot within the community and an area of concern for the local council.

The project as requested by the Clendon Pride Project, was a significant part of activities planned for a youth conference earlier this month.

Speaking of today's youth, Church President Russell M. Nelson said, "You are among the best the Lord has ever sent to this world. You have the capacity to be smarter and wiser and have more impact on the world than any previous generation.”
